Here's a picture of our first workshop in the mid 1980s. Based in Attleborough Fields Industrial Estate on the outskirts of Nuneaton it turned out to be ideal as a starter unit for our business. Although a little cramped it was fantastic to move into a brand new unit on our first real day of operation. We spent our first 4 or so years here before needing much more space and having to move to our present location. We did some really interesting work in those early years, in amongst the Triumphs there was the odd Street Rod and drag racer for my mate in a unit just around the corner. He built them and I did the bodywork/painting. Got in with a great bunch of guys as a result, and ended up spending far to many weekends at Santa Pod or Avon raceway 'run what you brunging'! We would occasionally swap motors for the weekend to compare and contrast! One of my more 'interesting' weekend swaps was my TR5 for my mates split screen Morris Minor with a difference. Fitted with a Ford Capri RS3100 V6 engine, a Wade RO34 blower, 2 stage Nitrous, and a fogger kit!
The picture below proves with a bit of thought, a fork lift truck, and a trolley jack, you can get three TR6s, a Spitfire4 MkII, and a Stag into a 500 square foot workshop!
