Finally heading back to London on M4. Traffic moving but barely. Can't wait to get my hand around a Guiness extra cold at the end point. All signatures @in book obtained cuz we had photos of checkpoints we got to late. Very cool. Inserting toothpicks into eyes to keep them open momentarily.

Made it to Land's End! Breakfast now but long line so we're standing outside. Cold and rainy but beautiful country.

Scottish Highlands were beautiful, neither of us had ever seen anything like them. All is well, Nessie proved elusive. We're now heading to Land's End a@t sothern tip of GB. Everyone tired but in good spirits. A sense of 'we can do it' prevails.

Bad news. In USA green means diesel fuel. In UK green mean regular fuel. Ask us how we know. Filled car with diesel fuel. No go. Found hose in pub. Dra@ined tank. New fuel. Back on road. Two hours behind schedule. @
