Warranty and Exchange Units

All items are guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase. Should an item fail within the period through defective workmanship, or materials, it will be at our discretion to repair or replace the item. In all cases contact us in the first instance before trying to repair/replace at your own cost/time. Any attempt by a third party to repair faulty/damaged goods invalidates any warranty with ourselves unless sanctioned by us before hand.

This guarantee expressly excludes any consequential loss or loss of profit, labour charges incurred, or damage caused by misuse, neglect, incorrect fitting, accident and abnormal wear and tear.

A system of exchange surcharges operates to allow us the continued use of the vehicle while replacing mechanical units.

Should an exchange unit not be fit for reconditioning you may not receive the full deposit surcharge back.

The main problems encountered are holes in the rear casting of differentials, holes in the block of the engine, or the wrong specification item e.g. Herald Dynamo instead of Vitesse, Vitesse 1600 gearbox/differential instead of Vitesse 2L etc.

In such cases a proportion of the surcharge is retained, but failure to return any unit at all means you will not get the refund, it may also mean that any guarantee is invalidated.
